State Now LOSING The Battle For Bean Street

People, people, people…how did we let this happen?

We had a close, yet comfortable, lead on the Tar Heels a couple of months into The Battle For Bean Street, but yet when I visit the site today, what do I see but this:

That’s right. The Tar Heels now have a 300+ cup lead on State!?!

We can’t let this happen. As you hopefully already know, $20,000 is up for grabs and if State wins the Battle, that money will be donated to the Kay Yow Cancer Fund. While Carolina’s charity–Habitat For Humanity–is certainly noble, we’re talking about cancer research funds here, people. Donated in the name of Kay Yow.

Even more embarrassing? Wake County should be completely locked down as Wolfpack territory, yet if you look at the map, there are stores mere miles from State’s campus currently under Tar Heel control. Insanity.

So your mission (and I implore you to accept it) is to go out to your local Wake County Kangaroo gas station (preferably one of the two locations on Capital Blvd. north of the beltline) and buy you a Battle For Bean Street cup of coffee. MAKE SURE IT’S IN A WOLFPACK CUP! If you get it in a regular cup it won’t count. Do that today.

And tomorrow. And the next day. And the day after that.

We’ve got until April 1st to turn the tide and pocket that 20 Gs for Kay. Get on it!
